I am not racist,

I do not consider myself a Domestic Terrorist nor do I sit in my basement and make bombs to blow things up simply because I am crazed and wish to hurt America.

Quite the contrary.

I absolutely adore America (read my other journal entitled A Little Late)

But…we just…well, not we…it’s more like…coughObamacough.

Ahem.

(I know I’ll probably regret doing that (--) because I don’t want to make it seem like I blame Obama for everything that is wrong because he was not in charge of our Countries affairs when everything began to go down hill, but this does not mean use Bush as a scapegoat. He was just the dude in charge when everything started sucking. And it’s not because he purposefully wanted the country that he loved, filled with millions of peoples livelihoods depending upon his decisions to suddenly collapse and people lose houses and jobs and insurance. Bush was certainly not perfect, and there are many things that he would change today if he could, but he did not do it on purpose. ANYWAYS. (I go off on tangents….I think there have already been more than one parenthetical side note inside of the original parenthetical side not. You will just have to learn to deal with this.) the point is. I do not wish to make it sound like I blame Obama for everything that is wrong with America…just…more or less everything that is wrong with America because of his decisions. (AND I will say that I know this sounds hypocritical because I just asked you to not use Bush as a scapegoat while I seem to be using Obama as a scapegoat, but there is a very definitive difference between it. …and I hope that I can explain it over the course of this essay/rant thing. And if I haven’t either note me, or politely comment and ask me or something. Thank you. This concludes the worlds longest parenthetical side note. And I will have you know that I have no idea what so ever if that is it’s proper term.)

I will say right now that I am a 16 year old white female living relatively near the DC area (please, don’t stalk me. I would have nightmares.) and while I do not know every thing of the political world and it’s goings on, but I do pride myself in at least being far more aware of what is going on than most people of the same demographic that go to my school. So, I will not pretend to know everything, so please take this into consideration, and if you find any points that I present to be false tell me please? Because I hate being ignorant in this regard. So. Yeah.

Because I am a 16 years old, I still generally eat dinner with my family and my father is actually rather quiet. He does not tend to speak much unless he’s thought about what he’s going to say for a good ten minutes (hardly an exaggeration) and only if he thinks it adds to the conversation. But he does enjoy talking politics. Well, actually, I won’t be surprised if he were to develop ulcers because of the stress politics and the state of our country puts him through. Regardless, often enough he will give monologues about the state of our country to my mother, brother and I actually find them quite fascinating. But just an hour or so ago he went on a ten minute rant about a certain subject that is, I think, one of the most important things that has ever happened to modern Americans (I say modern because my Gramma still remembers the attack on Pear Harbor and the resentment it sowed.). It regards the 9/11 attacks. Well, more specifically the man who Orchestrated the 9/11 attacks.

The man in question is Khalid Shaikh Mohammed. And he confessed this while being water boarded by CIA agents who were following the orders of their superiors. (Water boarding is an interrogation method, some call it torture, I personally don’t think it is. and if it is, it’s not ripping out fingernails or anything, it’s nearly purely a psychological method of extracting information, simulating drowning. Google it for more info. While the water boarding was taking place he was in Gitmo, which is where…really bad people go…like terrorists (im 16 remember?) And President Obama in his…second day of office, or some such number, announced that he wished for Gitmo to close and have all of the terrorists that wish America to totally be destroyed and all of it’s inhabitants be smited (slight exaggeration…slight.) And Khalid Mohammed, being one of the inhabitants, would be moved to American soil.

Now. When I heard of this, at first I thought “That has to be the most retarded move that Obama could make. It…it just has to be.” But…it’s like…moving a Coyote into a chicken pen and fencing in the coyote in with toilet paper or something. This whole idea to me just seemed plain stupid. But only until tonight, at dinner did I become fully aware of the complete idiocy of it.

The “Instigator” to the obliteration of the world trade center would be moved into the United States of America.

And not only would he be moved into the United States of America, he would be tried civilly in New York City a few blocks away from Ground Zero.

When I say civilly I do not mean politely. I mean he will be tried as if he were a citizen of the United States. And he would be given the rights a United States Citizen. He would be given a fair trial.
Yeah.

I may sound cruel. And I may sound abominable. But…Khalid Sheikh Mohammed deserves none of this. None of it. He does not deserve to be treated like the American citizens that he so unbearably and radically loathes that he would send hijackers to crash commercial planes into a pair of sky scrapers killing more than two thousand Americans and leaving every single American effected. He deserves absolutely none of this.

Call me a horrible person for this. But this is what I think, and…I don’t think that I am the only one.

It simply is not right. It just isn’t. 9/11 was not a murder of one person or two or three, or even just a “mass” murder. It was an act of War.

People don’t just fly aircraft into other countries sky scrapers because they want to kill a few people. They do it cuz they are terrorists and want to cause mayhem in a country and start a war. For Khalid to be tried civilly is absolutely ludicrous. There is no way around it.

Even if you look at it objectively and your like…<insert some random country here> and you don’t give a flying fart for Americans at all, you see it as an act of war.

And I will tell you that Obama is going to do this. This is what he wants. God only knows why. Because…it’s ridiculous.

Im not sure...how much of the country heard of the Sniper that rampaged through the DC and Maryland area 7 years or so back. But he killed 10 people I think (that we know of. He and his then minor accomplice are suspected of several other murders in other states.) But I remember being a fourth grader and not being able to go have our Recess time because they were afraid of the sniper (I live in the DCish area) would be a threat. But it took them 7 years to finally kill him. Just last Tuesday I think, was John Allen Muhammad given the lethal injection for the murders he committed.

This was only 10 or so murders…two suspects etc etc and it took 7 years to finally resolve it. If Khalid is tried Civilly it is the lawyers obligation to try to keep him from being convicted at all cost.

Which means, that there is a chance that he may be freed. When…it’s…inconceivable…to even think about…it really is. I don’t even…I don’t even want to think about having that man walking free. I don’t. it’s really scary.

So. This is what my father told me today at dinner. And I am quite worked up about it. Yeah…im sure if you turned on the news you would find something on it.

And I just thought that you guys should know. If you already don’t. and if you did, thanks for reading, because I just really really needed to vent.

Oh, and I want to make this a deviation, but ima post it as a journal first and then get your opinion. Do you think it’s to much? i want to post as is. im not going to rewrite or anything. Because….this is how I see it. Plain and simple.
